Framing
I create bespoke framing solutions to suit my clients’ needs and budget, delivering tailored designs that can enhance and engage, in harmony with their artwork.
All my frames are hand-finished to high standards, using a wide range of techniques and materials.
I can advise on the best match between your artwork and the needs of your environment. As a sample of what I do, I regularly produce:
- Canvas stretchers and tray frames.
- Box frames for 2D, 3D and textiles.
- Ornate decorative frames
- Mirrors.
Glazing
I provide specialist glass and acrylic glass according to your needs. My range include conservation, museum, anti-reflective, diffused, mirror.
Conservation
I think about the future of what I frame: I apply conservation methodologies to all projects. I always work with tested conservation grade mountboards, tapes, adhesives, coatings and glazing and work with the environment in which the artwork will sit.
With over 10 years experience working with modern and historic museum and gallery collections, I can advice on many disciplines within the conservation spectrum, specialising in preventive, furniture and paper conservation.
Installation + Art Handling
Having been involved in the production of museums and gallery exhibitions, I can provide clients with an installation service for their artwork.
I can also create bespoke transport crates and prepare your artwork ready for transportation nationally and internationally.
About
NGB Conservation was established in 2015. I wanted to create a practice which synthesised my experience and expertise from across three distinct industries: furniture making and design; art and picture framing; and conservation and heritage in museums. This means I can offer clients a range of services from basic framing through to a holistic start-to-finish consultation which takes account of the object, the environment in which it will be displayed, and the best design of mount possible.
I believe all sorts of objects can benefit from thoughtful, bespoke framing.
